Are you passionate about helping others and making a difference in the lives of individuals with psychiatric disabilities, psychiatric illnesses, emotional disorders, or mental disabilities? Serenity House Residential Care Services is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Workers to join our team in the Warren, Detroit and Battle Creek areas. No experience is required, but it is a plus. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn and good at following direction.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and support to residents in our adult foster care facility

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration

Monitor and document residents' progress and report any changes in their condition to supervisors

Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for residents

Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans

Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
Qualifications:
-
Must be at least 18 years of age
-
No criminal record or background that would prohibit working in an adult foster care facility
-
Experience working with individuals with psychiatric disabilities, psychiatric illnesses, emotional disorders, or mental disabilities is a plus, but not required

Must be willing to learn and able to follow direction

Display emotional stability and maintain a calm demeanor

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
Education:

High school diploma or GED required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
